John Kerry and a "Black Power" salute??

Hard to imagine President Bush getting away with this one ...

- July 17, 2004 -

In another example that there are two different standards in the media in judging the candidates for President, readers of the Los Angeles Times and other papers awoke on Friday July 16, 2004, to see this photo blared across the page:

John Kerry doing a "black power" salute at an NAACP convention?? Can you imagine the uproar if President Bush had made the exact same gesture? Hmmm ... Let's think of some of the words that we'd see and hear all over the media in describing the President: "insensitive" ... "disrespectful" ... "ignorant" ... "senseless" ... "patronizing" ... "shameless" ... The hysterical cries for a "full apology" would soon follow. You get the picture ...

TheMediaReport.com says ... Yet another example of the Los Angeles Times remaining silent and giving a "pass" to Democrats.

(Thanks to Larry Elder for the heads-up on this one when he addressed this issue on his radio show, 7/16/04.)
