On Thursday (10/14/04), U.S. Marines initiated new assaults at terrorist hideouts in Fallujah. Initial reports showed that the Marines may have succeeded in striking suspected centers of insurgents. No casualties among the Marines were reported in this first day.

        Yet what were the graphics at the bottom of the screen during CNN's NewsNight With Aaron Brown when reporting this story?

        "No Zone is Safe"?? That is flat-out false, as the majority of Iraq is now secure.

        Why would CNN see an offensive measure to secure American forces as a bad thing?

        Hmmm ... "It's Getting Worse in Iraq" ... It sounds a lot like a campaign slogan from ... Kerry/Edwards.
